No Coast Coffee Taraders

First, thank you very much to Max Bellmann, owner and founder of No Coast Coffee Taraders.
Thanks for the coffee bags!

Of what I can say, no coast is a pretty young company. Only three cafes on offer so far.
And I can not help thinking, there is an interior joke wrapped around the name of the business, no coffee roasters from the coast.

Most of the Luxury Coffee Toasters in North America, can be found on the east or west coasts. New York City, San Francisco, Seattle … and so on.
No coast coffee toaster is based on Kansas … a long way from any coast.
In addition to a sense of humor, Max is clearly passionate about a great coffee.

And he gets additional brownie points in my mind, because he has a strong affection for the roasting machine, a Falcon air toaster of Loring S15.
I get it. I appreciate a good piece of machinery.
Media roasted Colombian coffee beans

As you can see, these are medium roast coffee bean. Not too dark
Our coffee review.

From the three bags Max sent, we chose the Crown City of the Medium Colombian roast.

IDE to make a great coffee

As always, we connect the beans immediately before the elaboration.

And we elaborate the coffee in our Breville Precision Brewer, which is established in the temperature of the water and the preparation time recommended by the association specialized in coffee.

Then we let the coffee sits for two or three minutes before tasting.

My wife tested coffee first because, with all honesty, she has the best nose.
And stay in kind, this is a Colombian coffee from middle meat. Do not wait or want anything too dramatic.

As we anticipate, the taste is not defined by surprising high notes. It is more a melody of subtle flavors, in layers.

It is a soft coffee, but it is certainly not insipid.
There are floral notes in the aroma, and also in taste. Along with a touch of citrus and some stone fruits, as maybe apricot and bitter cherry.
On your website speak of chocolate. But we do not try much about that. Maybe the indication of a dairy, milky chocolate.

This is a slight but interesting coffee. It is not a beer on the head to wake up first thing in the morning. But something more subt.

Le, to be savored during a break from the morning or after lunch. In general, we liked it. It is not always easy to get the right balance with a half roasted coffee. But I think Max nailed it with this one.
